Description:
In this beginner-level sewing class, you’ll learn how to use a sewing machine, follow a pattern, cut fabric accurately, and take proper measurements.
By the end of the session, you’ll have completed three projects: an unlined tote bag, an envelope pillow, and a pair of drawstring pants.
In the first week, your instructor, Nancy Plominski, will guide you through threading the machine and understanding seam allowance so you can begin sewing with confidence. You’ll apply these skills immediately as you construct your tote bag.
In the following weeks, you’ll create a pillow and drawstring pants while learning essential techniques such as pattern layout, fabric cutting, taking body measurements, marking fabric, pressing, finishing, trimming seams, and hemming.
Perfect for those new to sewing, this class builds foundational skills through hands-on projects so you can continue your sewing journey with confidence.
All supplies are included.
