Storytelling Using Mixed-Media Collage Techniques

Find your inner voice in an open studio setting! This course is geared for adults seeking self-expression using Mixed-Media Collage Techniques which include: cut and/or ripped paper, Mod Podge, painting, printmaking, texture, words, phrases and symbolic images. Ask yourself questions like: What is the risk? What story am I trying to tell? This process can be used to create vision boards, process trauma, find hidden meanings and to simply explore the creative process. The first session will include exposure to various techniques and possibilities for using color theory and design elements to create unique works of art. Additional sessions will allow students to explore their personal creative vision. The course objective is for students to complete one or more collages for display and discussion.
