Have you always wanted to get your hands dirty and learn the ins and outs of the wheel? This class is ideal for both beginners and those seeking a refresher.

Students will become familiar with clay, including its basic properties and what to expect when using the wheel. You will have the opportunity to use both an electric and a kick wheel.

Through a step-by-step approach to the fundamentals of throwing, students will work on projects that include bowls, cups, pouring vessels, planters, and other projects based on student interest.

Students will also be encouraged to experiment with both texture and glazing.

This course is a prerequisite to attending Open Studio sessions for those without ceramics experience.

There is a $30.00 clay fee to be purchased on the first day of class.
