Have you always wanted to get your hands dirty and learn the ins and outs of the wheel? This class is perfect for both beginners and those looking for a refresher.

Students will become familiar with clay: Its basic properties and what to expect when using the wheel. You will have the opportunity to use both an electric and kick wheel.

Through a step-by-step approach to the fundamental of throwing, students will work on projects including bowls, cups, pouring vessels, planters, and projects based on student interest.

Students will also be encouraged to experiment with both texture and glazing.

This course is a prerequisite to attending Open Studio sessions for those without ceramics experience.

There is a $25.00 clay fee to be purchased on the first day of class.
