Adults and Teens: Tiered Maxi Skirt
Experience level: advanced beginner
The tiered maxi is a great summer skirt and perfect for lightweight fabrics. In this class, you will learn more garment construction skills: gather fabric, sew in an invisible zipper, apply interfacing, use the serger to finish seams, a hemming technique, and follow pattern directions.
The prerequisite is our Adult Beginner Sewing or equivalent sewing experience.
During the first session, we will take measurements to determine the correct size, cut out the paper pattern, and make any pattern alterations. Students will come prepared with the determined amount of fabric and supplies to the second session. The pattern is included in the class fee.
Sewing machines are provided in the classroom. You are welcome to bring your machine if you know how to use it.
