Learn to sew with Knit fabric: The T-Shirt Dress

This class is great for students who have taken the beginner sewing class, have basic sewing skills, and are familiar with a sewing machine. 

The McCall’s versatile dress pattern offers different dress lengths, sleeve lengths, and three neckline choices.  You will learn how to take your measurements and select the correct size to cut, read and follow the directions, learn sewing skills for stretch knit fabric, how to sew a set-in sleeve, and a neckband, finish the seams with a serger machine, a hemming technique, and more.  During the first session, we will take measurements to determine the correct size, cut out the paper pattern, and make any pattern alterations.  Students will come prepared with the determined amount of knit fabric and matching thread to the second session.  The pattern is included in the class fee.

The class will be held on Sept 21, 28, Oct 5, 12, & 19, from 1:00-3:30pm. This schedule will give you ample time to learn and practice each step, ensuring you feel well-prepared and confident in your sewing skills.
